From the Earl Cain Saga and Godchild. it's a Victorian mystery sort of series with a touch of supernatural. SO not for those with delicate sensibilities-we're talking gritty hereditary incest, gallons of deadly poisons, suicide deaths lining up like cordwood, and your fair share of gothloli. It's AWESOME.
